The Hunterdon Art Museum is housed in an historic converted stone mill built in 1836 which is on the National Register of Historic Places. Exhibitions showcase both local and nationally known artists. In addition to their permanent collection, which includes prints by Salvador Dali, Mark DiSuvero, Philip Guston, Alex Katz, Ad Reinhardt, and Faith Ringgold, and sculpture by Tom Otterness and Toshiko Takaezu, the museum presents changing exhibits of contemporary artists. The Museum is barrier-free and accessible to wheelchair users, including a couple of bathrooms on the first floor.

The Mütter Museum of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia is dedicated to the history of medicine. Its collection of anatomical specimens, models, and old medical instruments are displayed in a 19th-century “cabinet museum” setting. These include a number of human skeletons and skulls, as well as various wax models used for the study of various pathologies in the human body. A portion of the museum's holdings are displayed in permanent exhibits. (Of special note are slides of the brain of Albert Einstein.) In addition, there are themed rotating special exhibitions and a bi-annual art exhibition in the museum's art gallery. There is a gift shop on the premises.

The Mercer Museum is a six-story, poured-in-place concrete castle designed and built by gentleman anthropologist and tile maker Henry Mercer in the early 20th century. The museum was constructed to house his collections and features local and national traveling exhibits; a collection of over 50,000 pre-Industrial tools; a research library focused on the history of Bucks County and the surrounding region; and a gift shop. The historic core of the Mercer Museum has an elevator and offers partial accessibility due to narrow passageways. The ground floor is fully accessible, including restrooms.

Located on the Brookdale Community College campus, the 15,000 sq. ft. Monmouth Museum serves as a cultural center of the arts, history, and science to all ages and abilities. The institution has a diverse set of offerings—a couple of galleries with changing exhibitions of the work of local artists, a play space for toddlers, and two wings for children with a number of interactive exhibits and an outdoor nature area. Its holdings, numbering in the thousands, include rare books, manuscripts, period objects, and artwork. Located in the heart of Philadelphia's historic Centennial District, the Please Touch Museum is the city's children's museum, focusing on learning through play. Begun in the 1970s, the museum has seen a move from a 25-person capacity room at the top of the Academy of Natural Sciences to the beautiful Beaux Arts Memorial Hall building, with several stops along the way. Today, the museum boasts several large spaces for temporary and permanent exhibitions, including a garden, a makerspace and a carousel. As the name suggests, all these exhibits are hands-on, and designed for touching. There are also many interactive pieces of art, including a re-creation of the Statue of Liberty's hand made of around 2,000 candy wrappers. The entire museum is wheelchair accessible and includes elevators. There is a café on the premises.
